THE PORTRAIT (Grades 9 and up) This class is available to high school teens and adults. We will use the Loomis Method of measurement to become familiar with facial proportions. We will also review shading of form to add the illusion of volume. Each facial feature will be studied, and we will practice, practice, practice! Your new knowledge will help you to draw or paint the portrait with a faithful realism. A short supply list of drawing tools will be emailed upon registration. Students are encouraged to bring a sketchbook for note-taking and personal use. (min 8 / max 12) If stock shows 0, contact Kim at kim@kimrothart.com to be added to a wait-list or possible future class. Easel options are based upon order of sign up. The first nine students registered in each class have options for standing easels. Art benches and table easels are also available.
